Outlook suddenly freezing up/Hotmail bugs...HELP!!!

Jun 23, 2005 7:19AM PDT

My Outlook is suddenly freezing up when I start it. If it doesn't freeze up, it goes really sloooow. Also, when I check Hotmail, I get a message saying there is a bug.

I scanned for viruses and nothing showed up. I did the Adware fix it's still happening. I don't think it's my internet connection since I can get online and surf the web no problem.

Does anyone have any idea what's going on???

Not at all.

Your post didn't share the error message so try this.

Press Start, Run and enter

OUTLOOK /SAFE

It's possible you had the preview enabled and now have some SPYWARE. Do tell more next time.

When I go to Hotmail, I get the following error message "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.". The window has a "Debug" button I've never seen.

Right now if I try Outlook, even on safe mode, it doesn't even open. I simply have to close it out and I get a "program not responding" message.

What could it be???

It appears you didn't follow the instructions.

I noted how to run outlook /safe not "safe mode".

It's a fine distinction and very important.
