Outlook problem - Subject Toolbar missing

Jun 24, 2004 1:53AM PDT

I have moved from Windows 98 to XP and transferred everything across successfully using a network. I installed Office 2000 on the new PC. However, Outlook has eliminated the cc. bar and the subject bar from the screen. This is true for both incoming mail, for a reply to incoming mail, or for new mail.

I uninstalled Microsoft Office 2000 and reinstalled it completely (twice). This did not change anything. I now use Outlook Express for sending out completely new mail and, because I use Outlook by default, I am getting used to just living without a subject bar. This is not ideal. Has anyone got any ideas on what the problem might be?

James

Right click on the existing header bar. Choose columns. Make your selection there.

I may not be clear in understanding your problem. Try this:

Start a new message in Outlook Express and from that screen in the toolbar select View and from the drop down menu verify that "All Headers" is checked. If it is then uncheck and recheck it. Hope this helps!
