Question

Outlook overrides live mail as default mail program

Nov 4, 2012 7:15PM PST

Yesterday, I installed Windows Live Photo Gallery on my laptop running XP, IE8. I unselected ALL Live options (essentials, etc) and only chose Live Photo Gallery to install. Since then (no matter WHAT pc I log in to), My LIVE email kind of looks like email -- but functions differentl (in a bad way) and says OUTLOOK at the top instead of LIVE MAIL. I went into IE Tools, default email program and changed it to Live, rebooted, and it still gets overridden. Suggestions? Having lots and lots of troubling accessing my mail box (don't know Outlook). What's really weird is that it's EVERY PC when I login to LIVE, so although it started after I installed Photo Gallery, it's not connected to it? Thanks

Found it it was the combo of IE8 & WIndows XP. Had to Go into Internet Tools, advanced tab, click restore settings and reboot. Only took 4 days to find an answer!!! Thanks for your input
