Outlook Express Spell Check

Feb 25, 2004 2:59PM PST

I am operating HP 525X with XP, Internet Explorer, version 6.0. I cannot get spell check to work for sending e-mail via Outlook Express. I have another computer, HP Pavilion 6475Z with Outlook Express, and have no problem with spell check. I contacted my internet server, Worldnet, and was told that the problem was with Microsoft. No way have I been able to get any response from Microsoft.

I'm pretty sure that you need Microsoft Office to have spell check in OE

Microsoft will not respond to OEM users. Your point of support is HP.

This upsets people as they don't get any response from Microsoft, but it's the agreement that you may or may not know about. Don't waste your time contacting Microsoft if you have your OS bundled with such a machine. Go to the supplier.

But as you have read, the OS doesn't supply the spell check. It's in the Office products or you get something else.
