Outlook Express setup over lan. Help

Apr 28, 2005 6:47AM PDT

I am trying to set up outlook express on two Pc's connected to a broadband router

What I am trying to acheve is my Pc only downloading my e-mails and my partner's Pc only downloading her e-mails.

Our e-mail addresses are in the format as follows
myemail@username.isp.co.uk
heremail@username.isp.co.uk (username is the same)

I had it setup using message rules on both Pc's OE but since a recent computer crash on my partners laptop (which has been replaced by a desktop Pc) I have been unable to set up the rules correctly and as I was messing with the settings I accidently wiped my half of the rules.

I have tried -
Apply this rule after the message arrives
Where the To line contains partnersname, partnersmail, partnersmail@username.isp.co.uk
Do not download it from server

I have also put the reverse of this on her Pc, the problem is that lots of her mails are staying on the server and also a few of mine. I am still recieving e-mails to my Pc only, but not all of them.

We are not concerned with reading each others e-mails I just don't want all of her e-mails on my Pc and she would like access to her e-mail when my Pc is off (hence the router rather than ICS).

Any assistance with the setup or if there is a better way would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance

Geoff

I had it working on my Pc and on my partners Laptop, it worked fine no leftover messages after we had both clicked send/recieve on our relitive Pc's but I cannot remember how I had set it up.
