Outlook Express Icon Problems

Feb 22, 2004 10:50AM PST

I work in Windows XP professional. Recently the icons on the toolbar for Outlook Express expand as the day goes on until they are not all visible on the screen. If I close and reopen Outlook Express, they start out okay again. I have tried restoring my computer to the time when I did not have this problem, but it didn't help. What could be causing this?

Unfortunately, I too am experiencing the same thing except that I am using Windows XP home edition. If I happen to find a solution to this I will post it immediately and I hope you'll do the same.....Gina

1. I suppose what I'm understanding is that once OE has been opened and left open on the Taskbar, it is opening itself all over again as it periodically checks for mail!

2. Do you really mean toolbar?

3. I'm not aware of any option in OE which in itself would cause this anomaly (you and the other individual are the only two I've ever seen post such a question) and I would have to assume there is some very strange software prompting OE to open and check mail? I even wonder if each of these reported icons are a separate rendition of OE since what I've experienced is that OE will only open one time usually.
