Outlook Express Error

Nov 1, 2004 6:27AM PST

I have outlook express 6.0 on a CSS pentium 4 system running 1 Ghz of memory. Running win 2000 I installed MS Office 2003. The outlook will receive messages but I cannot export the address book. I get the option to export as a test file with comma seperated values and I get an error exporting the address book. Is there a subfolder in windows that I can retrieve the address book from?

" I get an error exporting the address book. "

Sadly you didn't share the "exact text" of that error message. Please share it.

What do you want to do? Export the address book from Outlook Express and import it in your new Outlook?
So that you can use Outlook as your email client in stead of Outlook Express. That's what I make of it.

To answer your question (although presumably it won't be of any help): find your Outlook Express address book by searching in Windows Explorer for *.wab. It's somewhere in windows\profiles\yourname (Windows 98 terminology) or in Documents and Settings\yourname (XP terminology). If you find more than one, check the modification date/time (that's the date/time you last used Outlook Express).
