When i start outlook express 6 it shows that i have 414 messages in my deleted items folder and 1880 in my wifes deleted items folder although when i click on the folders there are no deleted items there. Then up pops "performing offline tasks folder: deleted items". Then the message comes up " This program has performed an illegal operation and will close down" When i click on details it says" MSIMN caused an invalid page module fault in module MSOE. DLL" So therefore the program shuts down and i cant recieve or send anything. Can anybody help please?

I would opt for a brute force method here.

1. Find the dbx-files for the deleted items. I don't have the English version of the program, so I can't tell you the exact filename, but it will be something like Deleted Items.dbx. A search in Windows Explorer for *.dbx will certainly find locate them.
2. Rename the file to anything else (say, Deleted Items.sav).
3. Start Outlook Express. It will create new empty non-corrupt dbx-files.
4. Consider checking the "Empty messages from 'Deleted Items'-folder on exit". Then the folder will be automatically emptied everytime you exit the program. If you prefer to do it manually, do it regularly.
