Outlook Express 6.0 highlighting???

Feb 17, 2005 3:54AM PST

Hi All -

Recently got a laptop with XP. I use outlook for all my mail. It seems in order to highlight text in Outlook, i have to hold down the 'shift' key and use the mouse to highlight. Usually you can just highlight text with the mouse, but for some reason this is not the case in Outlook Express 6.0 on this computer. It is very frustrating. Please make it stop!!! Happy

any help / info / advice greatly appreciated.

thanks,
Joey

Not using OE with XP but rather ME so I don't Know if it's the same. To highlight message text I place the mouse where I want to start highlighting, hold the left mouse button down and drag the mouse across, down, diagonally or up accross the text or object.

To highlight a row of folders I left click on the first folder to be highlighted then while holding down the shift key left click on the last folder to be highlighted.

Hope it works for you too.

thanks. yes, that's how you NORMALLY highlight, and how i'd like to be highlighting. I'm saying, i have to actually hold down the shift key and do all this with the mouse as well. something's not right.

thanks for the response though.
