Outlook Express 2000 issue

Everytime I close my Outlook Express 2000, my emails disappear. What did I do to cause this? It only does it on my new computer. I installed it from my Ms Office 2000.

MS Outlook (part of MS Office) or Outlook Express 6.0/7.0 (part of Internet Explorer)? There's no Outlook Express 2000.
