Outlook Express

by macsantos / March 29, 2004 9:10 AM PST

I have Windows XP pro in my computer, but lately, when I start Outlook Express, I must wait a very, very long time before it opens, maybe four or five times more than a couple of months ago.
Is there a solution for this long waiting time?

Hi. Most likely Microsoft Messenger is set to run when Outlook Express starts. You can stop it (sometimes) by going to the Tools menu, Options, and clear the tick which says run Messenger when OE starts. Also, when Messenger is running, use its preferences to stop it running in the background. Regards
