outlook crashes

by taffeegirl / December 7, 2006 2:12 PM PST

I was running 2 virus programs- Trend Micro and AVG 7.0. Both were in harmony until I upgraded to AVG 7.5. Outlook will open but not in Preview Pane. I can open an e-mail only if it is text based. Any HTML e-mails will cause Outlook to crash.

I've tried repairing XP office and re-installing Outlook with no change of my Outlook issue. Got rid of AVG and run Trend Micro Internet Security exclusively.

I'm running a Dell XPS400 with XP Home and Office.

Any suggestions?

But I'm wondering and it's entirely your choice to try to run 2 AVs but did anyone ever tell you that such as not a good idea?

As to Outlook crashing, just wipe it out and start over. The email integration with 2 AVs has got to hurt.

The command is...

If that works then it's assured an add-in is making the trouble.

In closing, don't run with scissors.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
