Larry,
There was such a question yesterday on this forum, but it totally disappeared. As there was just as little information supplied as you do, there wasn't offered any solution as far as I know.
I don't believe that suddenly all (of even a lot) of Outlook installations have gone mad, so I suppose that something is wrong with aol. Contact their tech support for help.
Just a few questions:
- how do you know the sender did sent the message with MS Outlook?
- what error message do you get if you try to open the attachment (by doubleclicking on it, I suppose)
- can you save the attachment to your hard disk? What's the full filename including extension?
- can you open similar attachments sent by, for example, Outlook Express, Thunderbird or Pegasus mail?
Good luck,
Kees
I use AOL mail. All of a sudden, I cannot open files attached to any incoming MS OUTLOOK e-mail. The file format reads "All files(*.*)" . Now I am hearing from numerous people who do not use the MS OUTLOOK e-mail system, that they too are not able to open OUTLOOK e-mail attachments. This has just happened recently. I have not had any problems ever before.
