Seems a good idea to run Microsofts repair program if it says so. Are you really saying that some people say that it's a bad idea? Then I would find other people to discuss your computer problems with.
Of course, you have a recent backup, don't you? That way, you don't lose much if the inbox stays empty after the repair.

Hi all,
Last night came home from a night out and opened my outlook to check email and my inbox is empty ..
And my send and receive is showing this message error 0x8007000E
Some people are telling me it is a hacker ... but the outlook system is telling me to run scanpst.exe ..
At this point I don't know what to do ....any recommendations would be helpful ..
