Outlook 2007 has detected a catalog checkpoint arrest

Oct 2, 2007 9:37PM PDT

I am running Vista and in the last five days I have noticed that this message is appearing in the list of the Event Log each time I open the application.

This Event ID 32 message is the last message that appears under Application Log.

Does anybody have a hint on how to stop it from appearing ?

for "catalog checkpoint arrest" are your 3 posts on 3 different forums, and your 1 post in a microsoft discussion group for Vista.

It might be better to ask Microsoft tech support about this message if this is such an uncommon occurrence as it seems to be and they didn't publish about it in their Knowledge base.

Kees,

It looks like it has fixed by itself as I am not seeing that message in the Event Log anymore.

If you just search for "catalog checkpoint" you will find a few more posts. One I looked at quick seemed to think it was related to Skype, but a later post in the thread identified the problem and they did not have Skype running.

If it is not occuring anymore, than nothing to worry about. Just posting the follow-up in case others stumble across this thread with the same problem.
