Then you could empty the deleted folder. BEWARE that such could take many hours!!!
At least you could go back to your last backup and not lose much.

I have 370,000 sync error messages in the folders view of Outlook 2003. How can I delete them ?
When I try to expand the folder... Outlook locks up. When I find them using advanced find I am not able to delete them
Please help

Thanks bob, I have gone for the ultimate solution and got mozilla thunderbird (freebee) ran an import from Outlook 2003 and then deleted the sync error folders...copied over all emails and then removed outlook..problem solved.
Yes you were spot on it takes ages to delete the sync error files ! Although i did have problems with the import at first but after a while i managed to move what i wanted to keep and delete the rest. Sems the thing to do as Microsoft are stopping support on outlook 2003. Thanks once again
