In our case, you would never get a read receipt so the answer for this is no.

We are preparing to roll out Outlook 2003 to replace 98 on computers in a large public agency. Problem: this version allows you the option of deciding whether you are going to send back a read receipt when requested by a sender. Current practices use the reseipt as tracking for supervisors, managers, etc. Does anyone know of a way to check your sent messages to see if they've been opened by the receiver?
