Unless I have to...By the way, last month, my son's HP Laptop, which was five months old, had a hardware issue. After four aggravating hours on the phone "Gilbert" called me to confirm what I had been told...The service center required 60 BUSINESS DAYS to make a very minor repair.
I asked for a refund, and Gilbert offered me a refund of 80 percent of the pre-tax price...his mastery of English was frightening, although he said he was the highest level of escalation available. In the end, Gilbert sent my son an upgraded new computer.
Consumers lose sight of the fact that customer service is part of the bundle of goods and services you pay for when you purchase the product...When customer service is no more than a time-consuming sham, the company is in breach of its contract of sale, which implies "reasonableness" - What they steal from us is our time, which of course has real value.
RISE UP CONSUMERS!!!
Thanks again,
Jane
