Outlook 2003 looks like Outlook express with new messages

Feb 3, 2010 6:14AM PST

Hi all, one of the PC's in the office (running XP Pro) has an issue in Outlook 2003 when creating or forwarding messages.

The new message layout looks like Outlook Express, with the To, CC and BCC buttons looking like actual beveled buttons rather than just rollovers like they should. Also, all of the images in signatures etc are now only showing as boxes with red crosses.

Is there a way to fix this without reinstalling Outlook?

Thanks, Sam.

A repair install from the CD, technically speaking, isn't a reinstall. It's just a repair. So the answer is yes.

But first I would see if I make another brand new Windows user account and try there. If it's OK there, it's in the account. If it's the same there, it's Outlook.
