Outlook 2003 folder issue

by cossie_col / November 30, 2008 9:54 PM PST

Hi All,
Kinda of a long winded one here which I need some help with. first we are using office 2003 here, I have a user who has received an email, she right clicked and slected move to folder (don't know why she didnt drag and drop) only she managed to save it to a note folder which does not appear in her folder list when viewed normally, so when you drag an email to e.g test1 folder, that goes in fine, when you select move to folder you see test1 and above that folder there is now another test1 whcih appears as a note, I have never seen this before and need to know 2 things, 1) how to recover the mails in there and 2) how to remove this folder.

Any help you can give would be great!!!

Thanks

Cossie

Two questions:
- Is this a folder on your Exchange Server or is it a local .pst file?
- If it's a local pst-file, is it feasible to go back to her most recent backup?

Hi, she is moving it to a folder within a attached mailbox, unfortunately it is not feasible to get a restore done on it Sad

Looks like something on a server. Better contact the system manager of that server than.
