outlook 2003 dumps shortcuts

Feb 20, 2005 6:29AM PST

Starting last month, outlook 2003 dumps my shortcuts every day. I received a solution that modified a profile in %appdata%, a folder that was
corrupted (I forget which one). That fixed it for 3 days. Yesterday,
outlook dumped my shortcuts again. What to do? I use mozilla firefox, with
Zonelarm and AVG antivirus, and my internet security is set to medium.
Second, different problem: in Contacts, although I put in last name in
the correct field, first name in the correct field, and set display name to
last name, first name as in a directory, the Personal Address book persists
in listing these names as first name, then last name. Suggestion?

Has anyone resolved this for you and if so, what was the solution? I also have the same problem...

The post is too vague and doesn't describe the issue in enough detail. So others wait for a rewrite.

Dumping shortcuts

Dear Bob, not sure how many more details I can provide! I have posted 5 times on this matter. The vertical navigation pane in OL 2003 includes a category called "shortcuts." These are links to favorite webpages that you click on and "drag" over to a shortcut group you have created, for quick opening at another time. MSOffice comes already loaded with one group ("Shortcuts") that contains links to "Outlook Today" and "Microsoft Online." Any group that I create vanishes after 2-3 times rebooting my Dell Latitude laptop, along with all the links I have saved under it. If I can provide further explanation, I'd be glad to...
