Outlook 2003 all of sudden decides to behave

by tcantrelln / July 17, 2007 6:41 AM PDT

Weeks ago posted about Outlook actuall staying resident in Task manager after closing unless I used the 'File>exit" method.. no idea how long it's been right, but suddenly on my main computer-close outlook and it CLOSES! Wonder what Microsoft will think of next. I'd tried a bunch of things to no avail. Going to hold my breath and see if it lasts.

Not sure it was Microsoft, was it?

Maybe an update of your antivirus did the trick? If you really want to know: system restore back step by step.

I (during the mess about stage) turned off system restore, have turned it on now and saved a manual point- if it messes up again, I'll restore to now and see what breaks it- I had even done a removal of office and reinstall- still behaved unsuitably. (From about six days ago) then discovered today- plays nice, shuts dowb like it's supposed to. I don't thing my AV would do it, (Comp Assoc.)(Shrugs)(leaves it alone)

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
