the files should be copied and transferred to an external drive.
You could try using open office for reading the files.
I have a new Vista system operating on HP AMD hardware.
Outlook 2002 will no longer load, apparently looking for outlook express kernel. Outlook Express was apparently deleted recently (through Windows Update?) and replaced by Windows Live Mail.
I rarely use Outlook anymore, having migrated most of our activity to g-mail, but having said that, there is a lot of archive information in the PST files that I would like to reclaim.
It does not appear that there is an option to import PST or archive folders into Windows Mail. I have no intention of buying a new copy of Outlook 2007, just to be able to access old Outlook 2002 files.
Any suggestions? Restoration of outlook express, retrieval of PST and archive files outside outlook, suing MS for inability to use legitmately purchased software and the data that resides within it?
