Outlook 2000 SR-1 problems: cannot customize, [SPAM] in subject line

Mar 23, 2004 3:46AM PST

I have just installed Outlook 2000 SR-1 on Windows ME; don't blame me, I was stuck with it. I have downloaded all available patches.

I am having a series of problems:
1. I cannot :customize Outlook Today", even though there is an option tag, it does nothing.
2.tasks are inverted (Due dates the most remote are first). I can click on Tasks and sort by Due Date, but it doesn't affect the Outlook Today view;
3.[SPAM] is in the subject line of every email I receive (along with any real subject)

30328,

Here is a Microsoft Article regarding your "Customize Outlook Today" issue. There is a registry hack to fix it.:

OL2000: You Cannot Customize Outlook Today After You Install Critical Update 813489 for Internet Explorer

In regards to the SPAM issue, are you using a SPAM filtering agent, like SpamAssasin (or something similar) to filter the mail? Some of these programs will actually add text to "good" email because of similarities to real SPAM. You'll need to change the preferences in cases such as this.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the prompt help! I am not using any filter software, but I will check with my ISP.
