Outlook 2000 Journal missing entries!

Jul 28, 2004 11:23PM PDT

40920.1

My user has Windows 2000 and Outlook 2000. The other day I had to create a new profile (using corporate mode) to replace his old one which was not working properly. Now he is telling me that his journal entries are all screwed up. I never use journal so I know little about it and I have scanned the web for help with little luck. My user was able to find most of his journal entries. They had been moved to a folder call "Synchronization Failure." He has since been able to move most of the entries from this folder back to his journal, however he now says that he has a gap in his entries. The first entries are shown at the beginning of May and then there is a gap until June 21. None of this makes any sense to me since his profile was only messed around with yesterday in July. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Thank you for your input. Apparently this problem occurred aftera synchronization that contained errors. Any idea where the missing entries would be found? Thanks again.

What is "synchronization "

This isn't a feature I see in my Outlook 2000.

Tell about it.

I haven't found offline to work reliably. We tried it at the office in 2000/2001 and decided that it was something Microsoft hadn't nailed down. I have no solution for you, but can only comiserate. We put the road people on the internet mode install and used Intellisync to sync the calendars.

All I can add is:

1. All service packs and patches installed?
2. Call Microsoft.
