Question

Our Color Laser jet 3505dn started to fade colors

May 21, 2012 6:02AM PDT

The red has turned pink to salmon and the green is almost a light blueish green. I have replaced all toner cartridges a number of times and the transfer roller. The transfer roller was a suggestion from a repair tech. This was also arecommendation to another owner of this machine. The unit has printed almost 200,000 pages. Any suggestions?

Be sure to weigh replacement versus more parts and labor.

Seems like you already exerted too much effort in having it repaired and as you said it's still the same. Maybe it's time for you to get a new one. Sometimes, it's cheaper that way.

Black, blue and yellow print clearly but the red / pink (magenta) is always faded to the right and left of the page, the middle is faded but not as badly, tried numerous new cartriges (not compatibles), but same bad results. Ran through the cleaning process on the machine
