Question

Otg supported, but not working. How to enable it?

Aug 11, 2018 12:55PM PDT

I bought a mini usb fan. When I plug it in it starts working but then it stops. I have a J7 2016, OTG is supported. My friend has the same phone and the fan is working. Can I somehow enable OTG?

I think that I know what's the problem. I saw a notification saying "USB device connected" and a few moments later it says "USB device disconnected" but I didn't disconnect the fan. Please help.

So your fan and cable work on the other phone?

I don't think that's the problem.

The pin seems to be fine. I used the magnifying glass and a flashlight. The fan starts working for a few seconds, but the phone seems to disconnect it. Nevermind, tomorrow I'll go get my phone checked and hopefully fixed. Thanks for answering, I appreciate it.

You can't check out the other plus the phone circuitry. Sorry if I mislead you to think it's a damaged pin. It can be more than that.
