OSX 10.6 waking from sleep

by Hosheen / November 29, 2009 5:07 AM PST

There are times when my iMac will wake from sleep for no apparent reason. Sometimes, several times a night. The glare from my screen often wakes me. If I get up and select Sleep again, it performs normally but may wake up again.

I have "Wake for Network Access" turned off, so that shouldn't be it.

Does anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Is this 10.6 or 10.6.2?

If the former is right, apply a combo update from Apple site. I might do the trick.

10.6.2 wakes from sleep
by Hosheen / November 29, 2009 6:37 AM PST

This is 10.6.2 But the problem has existed since 10.5.5. I keep hoping it will go away with each upgrade, but so far, no joy.
Thanks for the suggestion, though.

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
