OS X mail application problem

Oct 30, 2005 2:08AM PST

I have several accounts in mail application but from one account I cannot send emails. I can receive emails on this account, but not send. The setting is exactly the same as for account working without problems... Any idea what to do?

also, the message I am getting is following:

Verify that you have addressed this message correctly. Check your SMTP server settings in Mail Preferences and verify any advanced settings with your system administrator.

The server response was: not local host strawbalevillage.us, not a gateway

You can try to send using a different server. All messages will use this server until you quit or change your network settings.

Usually, the problem lies with the settings of the email account. I know you say that the settings are identical but this does not seem to be the case.
I would consider setting up this account again, from scratch, and seeing if this makes any difference. Also, look for a comma where there should be a period.
