You can bet that printing from the web was not thought out. There is a committee on this and "we'll get back to you."
Read http://codex.wordpress.org/Styling_for_Print and learn that the web author has more work to do.

Why is the seeming default when printing most internet pages/emails from businesses (such as receipts or schedules), that there be a very few lines orphaned on a second, useless page?
