Order-pricing nightmare

Mar 1, 2010 3:45AM PST

I ordered a IN2010N 20-inch HD Widescreen Monitor on the 24th, which is the same day Dell was running their deal for $99. This deal was posted on numerous websites:1. http://bensbargains.net/merchants/6/Dell-Coupons/ 2. http://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?t=1885798 3. http://www.bradsdeals.com/20-dell-widescreen-hd-monitor-99-pid-42024.html I thought it was a good deal so I purchased the monitor on the 24th and checked out at $108 including tax. I received the order confirmation, but it said a different price, $171. I called Dell and after being transferred to 7 different reps and 2 supervisors, I was told that they wouldn't change the billing amount amount even though I forward them my order confirmation and the websites that the deal was posted on. They denied that there was no deal on the 24th for that monitor for $99 even though many people including myself saw that monitor on Dell website for $99. Then they kept telling me that I ordered the monitor on the 25th even though my order confirmation stated the 24th.

I have never been so disappointed at Dell before. Now I have to wait for the monitor to come in so I can waste more of my time sending it back to them. As a customer, I expect to be cared for, but all I saw was a greedy company trying to make an extra $50 off a customer who was trying to order a monitor at the price she saw on sale. If any one has any suggestions or similar situation please let me know.
