There is a pic floating around (it's over at http://www.origamiportal.com) that shows something called Alexandria. That looks like the Media Player interface, showing movies, music, and *gasp* podcasts!
But they say it's running XP. TabletPC edition is XP. Media Center is XP. Is Origami XP?
We'll have to wait until Thursday, I guess.
Does anyone remember the Nokia 770? I didn't think so. It was that innovative mini-tablet that had wifi connectivity that allowed you to do more than you could with a PDA, but not as much as a full tablet.
It used a visual system called maemo (maemo.org) that was based on Linux and the Gnome desktop.
I think that Microsoft's Oragami is a mini-tablet visual environment for Vista. I'm pretty sure it will work on devices like the UMPC platform that Intel is developing.
Makes perfect sense and folows the buzz.
