Options for getting video file to TV

Mar 28, 2015 8:26AM PDT

I have a Samsung 51" Class HDTV, PN51F5300AFXZA. I want to to watch 1920 x 1080 videos that I have on my PC on the TV. My TV is remote from the PC, so cable hook up does not seem to be an option - it would be twenty feet or so (am I wrong about this?). If I convert the files to DVDs, the quality is diminished due to lower resolution of DVDs. Are there other ways to get the files to my TV for viewing? Apparently I cannot use WiFi with my TV. Thanks.
