I posted a thread yesterday and appreciate the responses...but with more knowledge I seem to be more confused! HAHA
I currently have 2x500gb Seagate HDDs in a RAID 0. I backup all sensitive files with an external usb drive. I really don't like the RAID 0 because of the 2x failure risk. I have VISTA and programs "tweaked" how I like them but want to move my OS to a partition on a 3rd HDD (which I will buy) move the apps to a 2nd partition on the 3rd HDD, and then setup the 2 Seagates in a RAID 1. On the RAID array I would also store a disk image of the OS and Apps....and the RAID array will be backed up to my external HDD.
Am I making things too complicated? Will I have to just reinstall things on the new, 3rd HDD and then go from there?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly
Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
