I'm not sure why you are unhappy with your current camera, but a new one might not solve those issues. That said, in good light (meaning outdoors), all cameras should produce good quality photos. It's when you are shooting indoors, and/or challenging subjects (moving objects), where a better (and more expensive) camera is desirable. Of the two you are looking at, I'd guess the Sony will do better with in low light, because it has a much brighter F2.4 lens.
I am ready to purchase a new point-and-shoot camera (my current Finepix Z10 fd just isn't cutting it). I would like a camera with good photo quality, and many photo capture options. I would definitely enjoy HD video capture as well. My price range is $300 and below. Any thoughts? As of now I have my eye on the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-Wx1 and Samsung DualView TL225.
