I do not expect the maker or seller to provide those results so you have to do this ahead of time.
From those articles you may be OK but my bet is this laptop will heat and slow. THIS IS NOT A DESIGN FLAW! You can counter most of that by using a laptop cooler.
I'm really interested in buying the new Asus Zenbook 15. It almost checks everything I need on a laptop (except the absence of Thunderbolt 3 but it's ok) for work. I would also like to play games on it. I'm a casual gamer but sometimes I enjoy playing Rocket League and Civilization VI. But I don't know if this laptop can run these games. I don't need to play in high/ultra settings. Rocket League in 60fps and Civilization VI in 30fps would be enough. Is this possible?
Here are the specs of the laptop:
- 15.6” LED-backlit FHD (1920 x 1080) 16:9
- Intel® Core™ i7-8565U processor, 1.8GHz quad-core with Turbo Boost (up to 4.6GHz) and 8MB cache
- NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1050 Max-Q 2GB GDDR5 VRAM (Yep 2GB of VRAM, not 4)
- 16GB 2400MHz DDR4
- 512GB PCIe® 3.0 x2 SSD
Thanks for your attention. I’m looking forward to your reply.
