It usually saves me time. Remember that this can't be answered as to which is better since machines are all over the map. You'll read the recovery works and fails for one then the next person.
At least you can recover with the DVD media (I have yet to see Windows past XP arrive on CD.) This is important since a W7 recovery system on CD might be some repair tool and not the entire OS.
I have a dell studio laptop. It originally had Windows 7 on it. Would it be better to use the reinstallation CD or the recovery partition to reinstall Windows 7 on this laptop? It is currently loaded with windows 10, But I’m running into issues that might be because of windows 10 so I’d like to bring it back to Windows 7. I want to see if windows 10 is causing the issues or if they could be a hardware issue.
