WASHINGTON, Dec. 15, 2004 ? U.S. Army Capt. Lucas Cioffi,
stationed at Camp Eagle, Iraq, asks Americans to participate in
Operation Picture Peace, an effort to convey goodwill by sending
photographs to Iraqi citizens, especially children.
"........ There is no better way to reach those that cannot read than
by handing out pictures, and there are no more friendly gestures than
smiles and waves. ..............
.......... We can use tens of thousands of photos and even multiple
copies of the same ones. The Iraqi children thoroughly enjoy learning
our names; putting a first name on the reverse side would make them
very excited about knowing someone in America."
One of the better approaches I've seen in some time. Will you share
with your friends and associates ?
