Question

"opera" browser

May 15, 2017 11:56AM PDT

Opera crashes frequently. Is opera compatible w/ Android 4.4.2 and Coolpad phones? Anyone got an idea how to correct the crashing?

Thanx:
Rick

Fix? Try other browsers and report this to it's maker.

hey Renegade6000:

Yes, I'm aware of the many versions of Opera. The current browser is just Opera (latest edition). I tried "mini" and it too crashed a lot. So, I'm wondering if it's the browser 'glitch" or maybe the browser is not compatible with this phone? I haven't tried many other browsers, but I did delete Google browser (default)when I installed Opera. Could that have something to do with it? I just don't know.
Thanx:
Rick

That could be it.

The native browser in the usual Android phone is not something I'd eject. Try going back to factory stock and if that works, then try other browsers.

Don't fall into "I only want to use Opera" traps. Go with what works.

It happens usually with me and might be happening with many of us, that browser gets crashed, but rather than sticking with the one I use another one like if opera don't work I try my UC Browser and keep on doing my stuff in it. Don't just stick to one use optional others too. My opera used to crash so, I started using UC mini now I didn't face any issue till now, but sometimes it hangs then I am using my android default browser.
