It would open Your Word Documents. It would open your Excel documents.
If you want to change it,
Right click on the document
click on open with
select the program. If you want this program to open all the documents, then check the box, always use the selected program to open these types of files. Then every time you open that type of document, it will open with that program. If you want to change it back, then repeat the above procedure.

I have just installed Ooo, 2.3. I have Office XP Pro installed. When I went through the registration and installation phase, I was asked if I wanted to have OpenOffice open all of my Microsoft files. I checked no, at this point in time. If I were to change that and have Ooo open my Microsoft files, what might the end result be? Thanks
