Remember that recent security changes can do that.

But first a test. Save the attachment to your desktop and see if it opens.

The result will guide the next advice.

What Is The File Extension On The File?
by Grif Thomas Forum moderator / December 19, 2011 9:17 AM PST

You may need to re-associate the file extension to the file type.. After saving the file to your desktop, RIGHT click on the file, choose "Open With", then select "Choose Program" from the menu.. When the "Open With" dialogue box opens, place a CHECK mark in the box that says: "Always use this program to open this type of file", then scroll through the available programs and double click on the appropriate program for opening that file type.

If you can't fine the appropriate program to open that file type, please let us know the file extension on the file on your desktop..

Hope this helps.

That's good. This means we only need to
by R. Proffitt Forum moderator / December 19, 2011 9:18 AM PST

All this means is we need to have some app to open this with.

Can you share the EXTENSION of this file?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
