Opening Adobe Files

by jeffrey p / August 1, 2005 1:25 AM PDT

I have adobe 6 professional, and I used to be able to open .pdf files (from web sites, etc.). I cleaned out history, cookies and files (in an attempt to speed up the DSL - another forum for another time)and know all I get is a little X in the left hand top corner.

What to do to fix this?

Many thanks.

It's a file that is part of the Acrobat program.
Since some BHO's are malware/spyware, some people mistakenly remove all from their computer.
If you have used some spyware program to remove such, it could have been mistakenly removed or damaged.
