There is an option below 'open' called 'recent documents' whcih at least skips having to navigate through different areas first, although it won't display a full list of prior documents. In Tools>Customize, you can also customize how different menu options are displayed so you might want to try playing around with that as well
I successfully replaced today in my computer Open Office 2.4 by its newer 3.1 version.
In the past, when I clicked on "File > Open" after opening Open Office, I used to get the list of "Documents" in my "Documents" file and I could then select a preexisting Open Office file for further editing.
Now when I click on "File > Open" after opening Open Office, I get a menu of "Desktop", "Computer", "Pictures", "Documents", etc., and I have to then click on "Documents" to get the list of my documents. How do I go about eliminating that extra step?
I could not find a solution to the above annoying problem in the "Help" menu of Open Office.
Thank you very much.
