Open multiple Pages equally on screen?

by P.Maxwell / September 11, 2010 8:08 AM PDT

Does anyone know how this can be done, like is there a built in mac feature. I often have a table file open and second (sometimes a third) file open and I am tired of shrinking and then reopening when i have to refer to the other file page.

cheers

Alternatives?

Howdy. I don't think so.

But why shrink and resize? Why not keep them where you want and use CMD + Tab to quickly switch between them. Or you could set them up in their own Spaces, and then use CTRL + number to easily get to that screen. With a little practice this becomes second nature.

Two file torture

Already doing the switch with the keys. my problem is that i need to work with both files constantly. when i say constantly one file is a table of 39 pages with 120 different sections that i need to go up and down in whilst i need the other file open to cut and paste and refer to. spaces is fine for more than two files being used.

its a pain to constantly switch between files, like eight hours a day over 3 weeks and i have had enough.... Switching between two files (ONLY TWO) is completely unnecessary. Sure I can open both and pull and drag them and resize the view etc but i cannot figure why there isnt some app out there that would do that. Or better still why PAGES doesnt have something built in to do it.

In fact, its difficult to believe there is nothing mac out there for this. I can but just dream of what it would be like to open two files, they spring open evenly across the screen, both readable, what a joy that would be...

cheers
