Check out the following:
Error message "Please go to the Control Panel to install and configure system components" when you double-click a drive in My Computer window
The file Autorun.inf is not intended to be on the hard drive root folder. They are used in CD-ROMs usually (to launch CD programs automatically). There seems to be no solid reason for why the Autorun.inf appeared in the hard drive root folder, except that you may have used a CD drive emulation utility to emulate your hard drive as a CD-ROM.
When ever I go to my computer and press to open the C drive I get a pannel which tells me to,"Please go to control pannel to install and configure system components." I go there and open system, but do not have a clue?????
I cannot configure them all at once, and do not know if the ones which need configured or installed are marked???
