Open Box UN46b7100 "Plug & Play" grayed out & Demo Mode?

by offroadkid / January 10, 2010 1:32 PM PST

I brought home a beautiful 46" LED from Best Buy yesterday and it was an open box. I never got the option for Plug & Play, and it is grayed-out. I read somewhere on cnet that if you hold down the MENU button on the TV, it will bring up DEMO, or STORE MODE?

Well, it did, but I looked away to my laptop and when I looked back, the message on the screen was gone. I think it said STORE MODE, but now when I try to hold the MENU button again on the TV, nothing happens.

What can I do? Thanks in advance.

Okay, so I figured-out how to get it in and out of STORE MODE, but "Plug & Play" is still grayed-out.

If you want to reset the television, with the television on, you can hold down the EXIT button on the remote for 12-15 seconds, and you'll be prompted to reset the television to factory standards. Once you turn on the set, you'll go through the Plug and Play setup again.
