Appleworks is probably available on eBay, as a last resort, and it runs under 10.6.3
Try your local Macintosh Users Group, they would almost certainly be able to help with hands on stuff.
In 1992 I saved an important data base in Appleworks and later migrated my other files to MS Office (Word/Excel). I no longer have Appleworks. I really need the info in this old file but I haven't be able to open it. I added the .cwk suffix which has helped a little.
Regardless of the application, I get pages of garble along with some recognizable words. I've tried using Pages from iWork 06, NeoOffice and Excel v.10.1.4
I'm running Mac OS 10.6.3 on a Macbook Air.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
