Open a windows gadget at startup, detached from sidebar

Is it possible to run a gadget at startup that is detached from the windows sidebar, for example the Pandora gadget? Also, is it possible to create a shortcut for this option, as well?

Pandora Gadget

I am a little confused with your question. The reason I would like to do this is due to the fact that Pandora already has a Windows Gadget which I would like to make a shortcut to open up automatically but detached from the windows sidebar.

I'm not sure if this will clarify, but do you think they would have more information on the windows live gallery forums?

Ahh so this is not your gadget.

You would have to talk to the pandora folk about such a change. I read your question as if YOU were going to write a gadget.

My mistake.

Not with Vista

Not with Vista. All Vista gadgets are required to run in the sidebar. Win7 removes that restriction.

Darn

Ah, that's unfortunate.

Thanks, Jimmy
