OpD2d and WinAmp Internet radio

Apr 14, 2005 4:42PM PDT

I downloaded OpD2d to record internet radio on WinAmp. (Also installed the BladeEnc.DLL) Plan was to fill several CD's with favorites.
Seemed to record work fine, BUT neither WinAmp nor MS Media Player 10 would play the *.mp3 files or the *.wav files generated by OpD2d.

<<Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file>>>

My OS is Win XP Pro SP1.
Any thoughts???

While it works here and for me, now try AUDACITY.

Best of luck.

My only other thought is that WMP's DRM is enabled.

Fine, but I still don't what " ...WMP DRM is enabled" means. Perhaps you could expand your thoughts a bit?

Thanks

what " ...WMP DRM is enabled" means

That's Windows Media Player (WMP) Digital Rights Management (DRM). There is a setting in WMP that can cause captured audio to be locked to only your machine. I always look under WMP's Tools (something) menu and uncheck it.
