Leahy holding up a copy of USA Today and LYING; Kennedy lying as well. Schumer chimed in as well but I didn't listen. Sure to have been more lies.

THAT is the issue.

OK.... I figure there must be some sort of switiches or hookups or whatever they are called that run from the US to Canada, mainly because some phone choices include "free long distance to Canada".

I know Canada didn't send troops to itaq (but did to Afghanistan), but they are a partner in the war on terrorism. No doubt there are terrrorist cells there, as well.

That being said, IMO, expectations of privacy disappeared long ago. Everybody knows our personal business. Banks, the state, the city, where we buy stuff, etc., most of which we supplied them. Sites on the 'net trace where we visit. Everybody knows I am of Medicare age judging by the Part D offers that clog my mailbox.

If the TV shows like Law and Order are correct, phone companies keep a list pf pur phone calls anyway.

Shoot, even peopole gossip. So I only tell my secrets to my dog. Happy

The "slippery slope" reached the bottom of the hill long ago.

That's why I don't care about this happening now, and that would be true regardless of which administration was in power.
